Acid Mine Drainage

Return to Project pageLimestone passive treatment ponds were constructed utilizing Full Circle mushroom compost as the filter media on The Ohio Department of Natural Resources “Rock Run Phase II” project in Perry County, Ohio. The plan called to rehabilitate a previously constructed passive treatment pond, turn another previously constructed passive treatment pond into a sediment pond and construct a second passive treatment pond a little further down grade. The purpose is to cleanse acid mine drain off water and return it to a local stream. The work was accomplished by Tucson, Inc. in a three month period.
